Cornwall Gardens & Heritage

Cornwall is often described as the “garden capital of the world” and there is no better base from which to discover the delights of these gardens than our own woodland valley.  Centrally situated, many spectacular gardens are within easy reach of Leycroft such as Trevano, Trengwainton and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Due to the mild maritime climate in Cornwall these stunning gardens offer all round interest with many plants that usually have to be grown undercover thriving in sub tropical areas such as Trebah Gardens.

For a selection of gardens to visit, please visit the following websites – Gardens of Cornwall and Great Gardens of Cornwall.

The South West of England offers a spectacular historic environment and Cornwall itself boasts some amazing glimpses into times gone by.  Learn about the county’s mining past by visiting amazing engine houses perched on the cliff tops or put on your miner’s helmet and venture underground to experience how treacherous life as a miner would have been.  With castles, grand houses, museums, art galleries and working farms there is something interesting for everyone to discover.

We have a comprehensive tourist information area at Leycroft and are able to offer advice and book tickets in advance if required.
