Coast & Country

Around Perranporth

Perranporth's greatest asset is it's fantastic three mile stretch of golden sands. The beach offers some of the best surfing along the Cornish coast, and is ideal for families and water sports enthusiasts. It also benefits from RNLI lifeguard patrols all through the main holiday season.

Whether you are a dog walker, sun worshipper or are here for something more energetic Perranporth beach has something to offer everyone. (The beach is dog friendly all year round.)

Car parking is ideally situated adjacent to the beach and is very reasonably priced.

Be warned that this car park is only a few metres from the sand and on sunny days you need to get there early! There are plenty of other car parks in the village which are only a short walk to the beach.

Perranporth itself is a medium sized village with excellent facilities. It has two butchers, selling award-winning sausages and delicatessen produce, two fruit and vegetable shops, a bakery and two small supermarkets. There are surf and gift shops, hardware stores and a shoe shop.

Perranporth has many restaurants, some with fantastic views of the wonderful beach, the Seiners Arms and the Waterfront offer traditional pub food and welcome families. For something special try the Tin Fin or the Del Mar, or for a more casual meal with exceptional views try the Watering Hole on the beach.

Ask at reception for sample menus and recommendations.
